Nothing So Pretty As the Twin Cities – Getting Married In Minneapolis/St. Paul

Lost without your other half? Incomplete when separated?  But when together, do you feel complete?  Are you the strings to his guitar? The salt to her margarita? If that’s how you feel about your spouse-to-be, you’re not alone. That’s how the Twin Cities feel about one another, which is why you should get married in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

We know what you’re thinking … married in Minnesota? Why not get married in the North Pole then? Well, while there are plenty of benefits to having a wedding in the frigidity of the Land of 10,000 Lakes, there are also endless options for staying out of the cold as you say your “I Do’s.”

For starters, ever hear of the Mall of America? Yes, technically, the mother of all malls is located in nearby Bloomington, however, just because the mall’s zip code is 55425 doesn’t mean you should overlook its potential as the prime location for your wedding spot. The mall boasts its very own chapel, the Chapel of Love, with easy 1-2-3 steps for hosting your big day in Minnesota’s big mall.

If commercial-based nuptials is not what you had in mind, that doesn’t mean you’ll be left out in the cold. Downtown Minneapolis’s Skyway allows you to traverse the city without bearing the brunt of Jack Frost (see photo above). And not only is the Skyway a means of getting from point A to point B, but it’s also home to many hotels, restaurants and places to shop, making it ideal to entertain your many guests or wedding party.

But for you nature lovers out there, Minnesota isn’t barren for places to go. This may be the Land of 10,000 Lakes, however, the Twin Cities is also the birthplace, the starting point, of the country’s largest river, the ol’ Mississippi.  And the Mighty Mississippi wants to be the backdrop of your wedding pics. Rivers are symbolic as places where isolated waters merge and travel to one big, unifying sea, so what better place to get married than at the Mississippi’s birthplace?

Bob Dylan, Prince, Bisquick and Scotch tape; Minnesota is home to so many longstanding iconic figures and entities, things that have stood the test of time, through the toughest of winters, and have thrived in the beauty of gorgeous sunshine. Doesn’t your wedding fit into that mix?
